Violation

Stage 1: Surprise - Why is my door unlocked?!

Stage 2: Fright - OMG, is someone in my apartement?

Stage 3: Denial - Hmmm, did I leave the door unlocked and leave my apartment a mess?

Stage 4: Anger - Who the fuck did this?!

Stage 4: Acceptance - OMG, I've been robbed.

Yup, feeling like I've been violated. My home, my nest, a place I feel safe. Some bastard stranger went through all my stuff. Kudos to the security cameras in the building that caught a picture of the guy making off with my stuff in a fluroscent, kaleidescope, purple christmas bag. And kudos to the Montreal Police Department for seeming like they did care. For a moment, it was almost like Canadian CSI: B&E. The police actually took some of the things the thief touched to fingerprint. Most likely it will do nothing to actually catch the fucker. But at least it restored my sense of ... well too many senses firing all at once right now to figure out which sense has been affected. Back to my bottly of wine. It's a synthetic sense of warmth, but it's all I got right now and it'll have to do.

Tomorrow will have to be my official first day of the new year. I'm taking tomorrow off and staying at home. Shoulda done that today, eh? Oh well, live and learn....live and learn.

Happy New Year's Everyone!!! May 2006 be a great year afterall.
